Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

My Summary:

Running from her past, Bree comes to a small-town cottage where she doesn’t know anyone. Archer can’t speak due to a traumatic injury. Bree and Archer both know ASL (sign language) and strike up a friendship. However, Bree can’t outrun her past forever.

My Review:

I really loved this book. 🥹 As an SLP, I loved getting to read about something that I’m a little familiar with. I really enjoyed the discourse Archer and Bree opened up in the small-town setting where people initially thought Archer was ‘deaf and slow.’ The epilogue really got me. This reminds me of an Abby Jimenez book because while there is love and romance, there’s also trauma and real life struggles and up-to-no-gooders.
