My Summary:
Shannon and Johnny lead very different lives - one having everything they’ve ever dreamed of and the other having a really tough home life. When Shannon transfers to Tommen — where Johnny attends school and plays rugby — their lives intertwine, making already complicated teenage life even more so.
My review:
This book and its follow-up, Keeping 13, have GOT to be two of my most-loved reads this year! The angst, slow-burn, YA timeline but adult life problems, found family, tragically beautiful vibes in this one are STRONG! Give it a read, pretty please with a rugby ball on top?
You’ll like this if you like:
-slow-burn
-found family
-intricate story
Similar titles/vibes:
-MPU (bc this made me feel the same butterflies), and I can’t even give you any other recs because Jessa + Chloe are the only authors that write so poetically, so beautifully, that I get insanely lost inside the lives of their characters. They are masterful writers, and you need to read MPU if you haven’t, and BOT series if you haven’t.
