Keeping 13 by Chloe Walsh

My Summary:

Johnny + Shannon’s story continues, starting off from a cliffhanger from the previous book, Binding 13. How will Johnny heal? How will Shannon heal? Will Johnny be enough to save Shannon from her inner demons as well as her family?

My Review:

Not that I didn’t cry when I read Binding 13 (I did) but I SOBBED multiple times in this book. Just bc a book is YA/NA, doesn’t mean that it won’t include adult-like problems. Unfortunately, many teenaged lives contain more horrific and traumatizing things than most realize. This was such an accurate portrayal of high school love and family life and the helplessness you can feel when nobody believes that your problems can be that bad bc you’re “too young.”

You’ll like this if you like:

-books that HURT

-a beautiful ending

-the best found family (I even want to be a part of it)
